RZECZNA ART GALLERY, LOCATED IN THE VERY CENTER OF RYBNIK, IS AN EXHIBITION SPACE AND A PLACE FOR EDUCATIONAL AND PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE FIELD OF VISUAL ARTS.
We aim to present and promote Polish contemporary art, especially domestic painting, sculpture and photography – with the goal, to disseminate their meaning and value in to the wider community using various methods and forms, to develop human capital, around ideas derived from art. Our other goals are, to create a forum for the exchange of ideas between the artists and the community, to support the visibility of authors, also to give a platform to and promote those hailing from Rybnik.
ONE OF THE REASONS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ART GALLERY IN RYBNIK WERE THE ARTISTS WHO CAME FROM HERE: ADOLF RYSZKA AND EDWARD SITEK – WORLD-RENOWNED SCULPTORS WHOSE LIVES AND WORKS WE WANT TO BRING CLOSER AND COMMEMORATE.
However, the concept of the Gallery’s operation is based on the creation of an open, modern space that responds vividly to current social changes and interesting artistic phenomena.

We aspire to educate for the development of all generations of Rybnik residents and to skillfully combine the local with the universal in the world of art, through cooperation with valued artistic individuals, institutions and partners. We strive to establish Rzeczna among high-value exhibition spaces in the country.
